Many people enjoying fishing in Rockwood Park. Here is a comprehensive list of the regulations required. 

 

-          You need a license to fish in Rockwood park

 

BROOK TROUT

-          You cannot keep any fish that is smaller than 10cm

-          You can only keep 2 fish that are greater than 30cm long

-          You can only keep 5 fish total

 

SMALLMOUTH BASS

-          You cannot keep any fish that is smaller than 30cm

-          You can only keep 2 fish total

 

YELLOW PERCH

-          You cannot keep any fish that is smaller than 10cm

-          You cannot keep any fish greater than 50cm long

-          You can keep 100 fish total

 

FOR ALL OTHER SPECIES HOOKED

-          You cannot keep any fish that is smaller than 10cm

-          You can only keep 2 fish that are greater than 30cm long

-          You can only keep 5 fish total

 

FOR ALL FISH HOOKED

-          If you hook a fish that you do not intend to keep, you must release it back into the water

-          You must treat every fish you catch humanely

 

FAQ:

-          Does my son/daughter need a license to fish?

Answer: If the Chaperon has a license than the child does not; however, the daily maximum catch per license stays the same. For example, the chaperon and child cannot keep 5 fish each.

 

-          Do I need a License to fish in Rockwood

Answer: A license is legally required to angle in all NB waters except for some Tidal waters. There are no Tidal waters in Rockwood; therefore, a license is required.

NB Soap Box Derby at Lily Lake Pavilion

The 2nd Annual New Brunswick All-American Soap Box Derby (NBAASBD)and is modelled after the Canadian version of the All-American Soap Box Derby. All funds raised go to provide outdoor physical enrichment opportunities for students from School District 8 PALS schools in Saint John and surrounding area.
